Motown Christmas, a collaborative release from Motown Gospel and Motown Records, is a stunning holiday album featuring soulful, inspired interpretations of seasonal classics. It is a must-have addition to any music collection that will help spread the joy of the season.

This week, Motown Christmas is the top-selling album on Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart, with more than 6,000 units sold. The Associated Press says that Motown Christmas “doesn’t disappoint…with impressive duets and solo performances”; while the Journal of Gospel Music calls the album “a marvelous addition to the Christmas canon.”

Under the direction of Grammy Award winning producer and Motown Gospel Vice President of A&R Aaron Lindsey, who recorded with live musicians to exceptional sonic effect, Motown Christmas boasts the soulful, feel-good signature Motown sound with a little heart pulling praise and worship added to the mix. “I’m hoping this album draws people together while reminding us of the reason that we celebrate Christmas, which is because we have a savior,” says Lindsey. “We all love getting gifts, this music is even a gift, but the real gift is from heaven.”

Motown Christmas has been featured on The 700 Club, where Tasha Cobbs performed her flawless rendition of “O Come All Ye Faithful”, and TBN, which aired a 2-hour “Motown Christmas Special” hosted by Smokie Norful. With its fresh and soulful take on timeless classics,Motown Christmas is destined to be a part of holiday traditions for years to come.

Motown Christmas is #1, and it available in stores and online now.
