As a believer in Christ, I think it is great to have a creative outlook in sharing the messages of the Bible. However, I am not in agreement with using people who MOCK God to share that message. Bishop Jakes has the right idea about trying to reach the lost BUT he is SACRIFICING the messages of the Bible in the process. Why would an unbeliever want to become a Christian watching Bishop's films with actors that clearly work in ALL secular avenues in Hollywood? Most, if not all, actors mentioned in his films curse, have sexual relations, and promote anti-Bible on screen in their VERY popular other films (and later films). Who is being GLORIFIED at the end of these films? Hope, love, inspiration, and peace is all well and good,BUT it is IMPOSSIBLE to have without FIRST surrendering one's life to CHRIST!!! God's teachings SHOULD NOT be confounded with jokes, pretenses, and watered-down messages about CHRIST-ianity. In addition, it certainly should not be represented by actors who do not REVERENCE the CROSS and all it has to offer to sinful hurting people. Bishop Jakes! Meditate on this verse and let it minister to your spirit, "For the Word of God is LIVING and ACTIVE. Sharper than any double-edge sword, it PENETRATES even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it JUDGES the THOUGHTS and ATTITUDE of the heart.
