Wow, there are a lot of surprises on the chart this week. The first change I see is the Joyful Noise Soundtrack jumping an impressive 18 spots, reaching #3. Another shocker is Elder Goldwive McLendon jumping 15 spots to #7 with his debut Music World Gospel project, The Best of Elder Goldwire McLendon. Le’Andria Johnson also re-enters the top 10 at #10 with her debut album, The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson.
Two album positions that didn’t surprise me are Marvin Sapp’s I Win at #1 and WOW Gospel 2012 at #2. Both albums have been at the top of the chart since their releases. Trip Lee’s The Good Life is slowly descending on the chart reaching #4 this week, after its #1 debut. After 26 weeks, William McDowell’s Arise: The Live Worship Experience is still going strong on the chart at #5.
God, Love & Romance by Fred Hammond is #6 this week with JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise’s After This close behind at #8. Finally, completing the top 10 is James Fortune & FIYA with Identity dropping to #9.
