The Prayer Garden of Memphis Presents First-Ever Collective Prayer and Praise Event

prayerTHE PRAYER GARDEN OF MEMPHIS will present its inaugural prayer and gospel music event on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Levitt Shell (Overton Park), 1928 Poplar Ave.  A Day of Prayer, Praise and Healing Explosion will feature a morning corporate prayer rally from 11am-2pm featuring prayer by twenty-four Memphis area ministers on the twenty-four top issues of the City of Memphis and its residents.  The prayer rally will also include music by Stellar Award nominated keyboardist, writer and producer Winston Stewart and dance ministry by Prophetic Dance Ministry.

The evening concert will include BET’s Sunday Best winner Crystal Aikin, renowned Gospel choir Billy Rivers & Angelic Voices of Faith, Christian rap pioneer Mr. Del, Proverbs 31 Status poet Janette Ikz and Memphis’ own The Pentecostal Church Mass Choir and New Direction Praise Dance Team and Choir and Live and Direct Choir from 6pm-10pm.  The event is open to all with special invitations being made to ALL city and county municipalities and area clergy.  The prayer rally is free admission and evening concert tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door day of event.

The City of Memphis is ranked 7th in the nation for high-crime incidents, driven by high unemployment and an under-skilled labor force. Through this event, THE PRAYER GARDEN OF MEMPHIS will present a platform for city and county citizens to gather and pray for the city’s economic growth and a crime ceasefire.

A Day of Prayer, Praise and Healing Explosion is spearheaded by Marceline Williams, Founder of THE PRAYER GARDEN OF MEMPHIS (PGOM), a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide an interdenominational Christian-based platform accessible to all individuals wishing to restore peace in their lives and the City of Memphis through corporate prayer.  THE PRAYER GARDEN OF MEMPHIS is a digitally based non-profit organization residing 24/7 at www.prayergardenofmemphis.comoffering inspirational messages and a place for people to submit anonymous prayers. PGOM is intentionally not affiliated with any church domination to best equip the organization to serve all who are seeking God.
