Stellar and Dove Award Nominee Lisa McClendon Returns with 4th Album, “Reality”

With 3 projects under her belt, Lisa McClendon’s name has become synonymous with soulful music and cutting edge, heart penetrating lyrics. Now, this Stellar and Dove award nominee has returned with the 4th installation in her musical legacy, REALITY (BluSoul Entertainment).

Defined as “The state of being true,” REALITY is just what Lisa McClendon is focusing on as the CD goes in and out of songs that reflect the day to day lives of listeners. “There are a lot of things I have to own up to today because of decisions that I made yesterday,” McClendon states. “So, I really wanted to create an album that talks about things that we deal with on a regular basis and shine that flashlight called ‘reality’ on it.” And that she did as songs touch on subjects ranging from learning from those decisions made to being overwhelmed by responsibilities of life.

Hit song “Pause” has already received great reviews and the video is now in rotation on Music Choice and BET, as it reminds us all to slow down from this busy life to simply, ‘put the world on pause.’ Arkansas and has recently toured the UK for the 3rd time on the GL Live Media Tour passing through Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, London, and Gatwick. Also listed on McClendon’s active itinerary is her tour with the likes of Fred Hammond, Tonex, Byron Cage and Virtue and the BET Rap-It-Up tour and campaign with Sammy Avante.

There are no limits or boundaries on the favor this “Inspirational Neo-Soul Artist,” painter and songwriter has. McClendon is not just known for her blessed sound and flava but she is also known for her beauty which has landed her great opportunities to be featured in and on the cover of magazines such as Braids and Beauty, Hype and Hair, Ebony and Christianity Today and to add to the list of favor and blessings, Lisa has recently been joined together in holy matrimony to her sweetheart Maurice Brailsford.
