Singer, Songwriter, Pastor and Author L. Spenser Smith Returns With New CD, “Unstoppable”, Plus New Single “My Life”

Singer, songwriter, pastor and author L. SPENSER SMITH is no stranger to gospel music.  Smith is noted for being the front man for the popular group Testament who garnered a 2008 Stellar Award Nomination for their project STATEMENT which included the hit song “Surgery”.  Pastor of the thriving church Impact Nation Fellowship Church, with two locations in Tuscaloosa and Adamsville, AL, Smith also recorded THE IN TIMES CD with The Impact Nation Choir featuring Jason Nelson, Crystal Rucker and Tonya Baker.  After almost ten years, UNSTOPPABLE is the long awaited release that marks the beginning of L. Spenser Smith’s career as a solo Gospel music artist.

“I wanted to wait until the right time to reintroduce myself as a solo artist to the gospel world,” says Smith. “This recording wasn’t just a spirit-filled worship experience, it was FUN! We had such a great time putting together the music and sharing the songs with the audience that evening. We want the essence of this worship experience to be felt by the listener the same way those who attended the recording did.”

Smith’s first single “My Life”, which is available on iTunes and is impacting Gospel Radio now.  “My Life”, written by Smith and Justin Francis, is an incredibly powerful testimonial ballad with Smith’s strong tenor and powerful backing vocals that will minister to the masses!

Smith’s UNSTOPPABLE will release this summer on his own SmithWorx Music Group label with exclusive distribution via eOne (Entertainment One). UNSTOPPABLE is a powerful live worship experience exposing heartfelt testimony through an audibly gratifying musical collection of empowering songs.  “The principle theme is that with the power of God working within us and through us, we are absolutely Unstoppable,” Smith shares.

L. Spenser Smith will perform his new single “My Life” this week on Atlanta Live TV May 13 and The Word Network May 16.
