On December 14-15th, Shirley Murdock will head to the state of Maryland and join Nolan Williams, Jr., Voices of Inspiration and John Stoddard in the musical, “Christmas Gift”
Produced and Directed by, Nolan Willams, Jr. “Christmas Gift” is a Celebration of African-American Holiday Traditions through Music and Spoken Word.
As one of the guest performers, Ms. Shirley Murdock will engage in various Christmas songs and poems throughout the production.
The musical will include Christmas music, African-American spirituals, gospel, jazz and R&B, woven together with selected readings from African-American poets like Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston and Paul Laurence Dunbar.
Murdock is definitely a fan of African American poems and music from various eras and genres. She is inviting all of her fans and supporters in the Maryland area to join her for this awesome holiday musical.
It will be a special gift and surprise for Shirley Murdock to see new and familiar faces on December 14th & 15th, so join in the season and celebrate with her!
“Christmas Gift” will take place at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.
