Less than a year after the shocking death of Whitney Houston, her family has put together a reality show. The show, entitled “The Houstons On Our Own”, is focuses on Bobbi-Kristina, Whitney’s daughter, growing up without her mother to guide her. Of course the rest of Whitney’s immediate family signed on to be a part of the show, including her mother, Cissy. The series premieres on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 on Lifetime. In other news, Cissy also made headlines this week for reports that she wasn’t happy with Gospel veteran BeBe Winans’ book, “The Whiteney I Knew”. Cissy Houston told The Wall Street Journal that Winans never asked for the family’s blessing or permission for his book. She and close family friend A. Curtis Farrow said that the first time Whitney Houston’s immediate family learned of the book was when they read about it in a newspaper article, not from Winans.
