Myron Butler Wins Two Categories Plus First-Time Win For Producer Of the Year

5-time Stellar Award winner, Myron Butler adds to his trophy case after winning three Stellar Awards this past weekend at the 32nd Annual Stellar Awards. The wins cap off a weekend of awards activities for the prolific singer-songwriter-producer.

Announced on Friday during the star-studded Stellar Awards Pre-Show ceremony, Butler won Group/Duo of the Year and Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year. He has previously won in both categories. Also, for the first time, Butler was recognized as Producer of the Year for his work on Tamela Mann’s current project One Way.

Butler, with long-time group Levi, also performed his hit song “Best Praise” at the Pre-Show. He will also appear on the main telecast, presenting the award for Choir of the Year. Hosted by Erica Campbell and Anthony Brown, the telecast will premiere on TV One, on Palm Sunday, April 9 at 6pm ET with encores at 8pm and 11pm ET. The Stellar Awards will also air in national broadcast syndication April 15-May 7, 2017.

Myron Butler & Levi’s current album On Purpose debuted in the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Gospel chart in its first week of release, marking the group’s first number 1 album. Butler continues to expand his brand as a creative force in Gospel entertainment with the release of his first book, Born Identity, as well as the expansion of his Dallas-based S.C.O.R.E. Songwriting Conference.
