Kirk Franklin Speaks Out On The 2019 Dove Awards

October 15th, 2019, the 50th Annual Dove Awards took placed in Nashville TN. Franklin Won 2 Dove Awards for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year & Gospel Artist of the Year. Unfortunately during his Gospel Artist of the Year acceptance speech, Franklin made mention of the  killing of Atatiana Jefferson, A 28 year old African American women in Franklin’s Hometown Ft. Worth, Texas. This part of his Speech was edited out.

This same issue happened to Franklin 3 Years ago when he received the same award and made mention of a number of other murders that happened around the nation and for the Body of Christ to pray for those families and all involved. GMA Dove Awards and TBN Edited that part of the speech out.
