Indie Gospel Artist DEON ROBERTSON Releases Soulful Contemporary Gospel Single “More Than A Friend” and Official Music Video

unnamed (5)Independent Gospel singer and songwriter Deon Robertson realizes he is in charge of his own destiny.  Working fervently to develop his musical career over the past ten years, he is a vocalist who can flawlessly maneuver several octaves while tickling the ears and souls of his captivated listeners and audience.  Deon is a confident and vibrant performer who has released several indie singles and two EP’s, and is now releasing a very special new single “More Than A Friend” on iTunes October 1.
Deon shares how “More Than A Friend” became his single:
“My new single ‘More Than A Friend’ was written by James Reed and became a true testament to my life when I was watching my grandmother transition from earth to heaven. My grandmother was my best friend.  Although I knew she would soon go to heaven, I became so broken because she was the reason I started in music ministry over twelve years ago.  This song touched my heart because my grandmother, while ill, hadn’t said a word in days.  I turned this song on and she lifted both hands.  At that moment I knew this was the song that could change the mindsets of the hurting and give hope.  Every time I sing this song I want people to feel the hope in God that I feel every day.  He is the provider and the way maker, and will never leave your side.”

Deon has teamed up with Stellar Award Winning songwriter and producer Derek “DC” Clark (Zie’l, Fred Hammond, Ruben Studdard, Marques Houston, Yolanda Adams) for his forthcoming 2016 CD release SIMPLY DEON.
Deon knows that with God all things are possible and works with humility as he continues perfecting his artistry and expanding his ministry of music.
