Worship leader, Songwriter, Business-woman, Recording artist, Freda Battle talks about her forthcoming CD and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network new reality television series “Beverly’s Full House”. The July issue of Sister 2 Sister Magazine features Battle in the “Stomps & Shouts” issue.
In the issue, Battle discuss her forthcoming Freda Battle & the Temple Worshippers CD, HOW GLORIOUS & EXCELLENT IS OUR GOD, which was recorded and streamed live in Boston and produced by brother-duo Gerald and David Langford (Noel Gourdin). HOW GLORIOUS & EXCELLENT IS OUR GOD is slated to hit stores and on-line via her own independent label Peace-O-Mind Music in conjunction with Central South Distribution July/August 2012.
Battle also discusses her hit song “For All You’ve Done” being featured on the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network new reality series “Beverly’s Full House”, starring supermodel Beverly Johnson. The series posted a network high in its time period with a .44 W25-54 and 388,000 total viewers (up double digits +83% W25-54 versus year ago numbers and up +45% in total viewers) its first week.

Battle, who began recording albums independently in the late 1980s, founded The Temple Worshippers – a Boston based city wide choral aggregation in 1997. Freda Battle & the Temple Worshippers introduced themselves to the world with their 1998 FOR ALL YOU’VE DONE FOR ME independent project, which garnered them national notoriety.
Freda Battle & Temple Worshippers first national CD release was 2002’s SERIOUS PRAISE (Axiom Records) that featured the Caribbean-styled radio smash, “Serious Praise” and “No One Deserves”. SERIOUS PRAISE was also recognized by the Gospel Music Workshop of America with an Excellence Award Nomination for Contemporary Group of the Year.
Battle and her choir amassed world-wide recognition in 2006 with their sophomore national release HERE IS OUR PRAISE (Axiom Records), which was produced by Grammy, Dove, and Stellar award winning worship artist Israel Houghton.
