Dana Hemphill to Star in New Christmas Play “Christmas N Da Hood”

danahemphill1Yes, Gospel Artist Dana Hemphill is an anointed and phenomenal vocalist and psalmist, but this multi-talented artist has also been afforded several opportunities to star in Gospel musical stage plays including, “The Replacement Wife” in 2012 with music icon Shirley Murdock and actor Tommy Ford and “Just Like Yo Daddy” in 2013 with co-stars Terri J. Vaughn and Christian Keyes.

It comes by no surprise, that unparalleled doors continue to open for Dana Hemphill also as an actress and on December 17th-22nd, she will star in the stage play, “Christmas N Da Hood”, directed by Kendrick D. Young. This timely Christmas play, also features, Tony Grant from Tyler Perry’s Madea gets a Job, Palmer Williams, Jr. from Tyler Perry’s the Marriage Counselor and House of Payne and Kier Junior Spates from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Dana is truly honored to be a part of this outstanding cast and was immediately drawn in by the play’s authentic and encouraging message, which deals with the trials and triumphs of family and how love and a strong bond keep them together.

Hemphill shared her excitement and gratefulness, “I am so excited to have the opportunity to share the stage with the Awesome cast of “Christmas in the Hood” Don’t be alarmed by the title!! The new stage play, “Christmas N Da Hood” will be held at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters-Bruton Theatre, 1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX 75201.
