The event brought the city local business owners, sports figures and community leaders together to offer big donations.

“I witnessed firsthand how devastating a flood can be when my hometown of Nashville experienced the same thing in 2010. I was there to support them in song during a Benefit Concert and it is my pleasure to be there for the City of Houston as well,” says Winans.

The two hour benefit concert was broadcast and streamed LIVE on KTRK-ABC13 and SiriusXM Joel Osteen Radio, channel 128 with multiple replays throughout the weekend. The televised special featured performances by CeCe Winans, Clay Walker, Brian McKnight, La Mafia, Kirk Whalum, Yolanda Adams, Danny Gokey, The Houston Children’s Choir and Regina Belle.  Video Tributes were provided by Tim McGraw, Josh Turner, Kid Rock, Darius Rucker and Grey’s Anatomy actress, Chandra Wilson.

Mayor Sylvester Turner has established The Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund, to accept donations that will stay in the community.
