Award-Winning Gospel Artist Eunice Wright Back to Business After Saving Son’s Life

National recording artist Eunice Wright is back to business as usual after a three-month sabbatical from the music industry for medical reasons. Wright put her musical career on pause in late June to save her 19-year old son. Now, she’s back and better than ever before! She made her first musical appearance this past Sunday at Crossroad Christian Church (Dover, Delaware), ministering before an audience of more than a thousand for their Annual Founders Day.

“My son is progressing wonderfully!” says Wright. “As for me, I’ve made some healthy lifestyle changes, lost more than 50 pounds, and I’m in the best physical health I’ve experienced in a very long time! On top of that, I have a brand new single that couldn’t be more befitting of this place in my life and musical career! I am grateful to God for the things that He’s done, and I’m grateful for all of the love and support we have received while we were recovering. It means so much to me to know others truly care, and I thank you all so very much. Your prayers, well wishes, emails, Facebook posts and messages, and labors of love will never be forgotten!”

Unlike her sophomore project’s first release “Hello God,” her latest single, “Can’t Tell It All,” brings a different side of Wright to the forefront – the traditional gospel music sound that caused us to love Eunice Wright from the beginning. This quartet-infused selection delivers perfectly-executed musical compositions from her background vocals and 10-piece band, Wright’s signature vocal acrobatics, and a message of gratitude from her to the Father for being an incredible God! “Can’t Tell It All” is sure to have your hands clappin’ and toes tappin’ in praise to the great and mighty God we serve!

Wright is returning to the industry after donating a kidney to her eldest son, Tony. Nearly three years ago, Tony was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), a condition where both of his kidneys had ceased to function. After a year of preparation, the two underwent a successful transplant surgery. Three months later, Wright is fully recovered and Tony is doing exceptionally well, and his new kidney is functioning properly. His full recovery period is estimated at one year.

Just as we witnessed with her debut project, this sophomore release caters to the musical taste buds of diverse Gospel music lovers. Her new project “Worth It All (April 10, 2012),” features the hit single “Hello God” that is still making its way to radio waves around the country. “Hello God” is available for download free on the official Eunice Wright website, www.eunicewright.com. “Worth It All” and her debut project, “Wait On Me,” are also available for purchase on the official website, as well as on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby.
