“He Rose” is a gut-wrenching track that literally puts listeners at the foot of the cross. Penned by Damion Murrill, the slow-building ballad develops to a frenzied climax of praise. It’s one of the artist’s favorite songs. He says, “The message in this song blesses me because it reminds me that Jesus loved us so much that He was willing to suffer. For that reason, all who receive Him are no longer subject to any bondage; and the best part is that He went through it all to make us the righteousness of God (Romans 3:20).”
In addition to the single, Damion Murrill & Siloam will be releasing a live performance video of the song. Recorded live at Life Point Church in Murrill’s hometown of Wilmington, NC, the video captures the powerful worship that took place that evening in front of a packed house. The video will debut exclusively on Journal Of Gospel Music’s website on February 19th.
