Multi-Award winning R&B singer/producer and Maroon 5 keyboardist, PJ Morton‘s all-star, Gospel According to PJ (Morton Inspiration/ Tyscot), album is up for five awards this weekend when the 36th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards take place in Nashville. Among the project’s five nods, are Special Event Album of the Year and Song of the Year for the No. 1 radio hit, “All in His Plan ft. Le’Andria Johnson & Mary Mary.”In celebration of the Stellar nominations, Tyscot will post one of Morton’s brilliant, alternate performances of “All in His Plan” on its YouTube page on Friday, July 9 @ 4:00 PM EST. This stripped-down, acoustic piano rendition – with PJ singing instead of Le’Andria Johnson and Mary Mary – first aired on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” program last year. It was filmed at a location in Morton’s native New Orleans at the height of the pandemic – a poignantly relevant track for these unprecedented times.
