Award-Winning Gospel Ensemble Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte Release Victorious Single, “I WIN, The Remix ft. LeJuene Thompson & Uncle Reece”

SteveDaltonCoverArtThere is power in our words.  No one knows that better than the award-winning ensemble, Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte.  The North Carolina-based Gospel group, who has opened for artists such as Marvin Sapp, John P. Kee, Jonathan Nelson, DeWayne Woods, Micah Stampley, and Lexi, released their single, the declarative “I Win” in December 2014. The inspiring anthem caught the attention of Gospel music fans during the first week of its release with the song moving up the iTunes Christian & Gospel chart debuting at #59. Now the Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte return with an updated rendition of the track.  Penned by the group’s leader, the new single, “I WIN, The Remix ft. LeJuene Thompson & Uncle Reece” is hitting the Gospel airwaves now.
Directed by Juan Ossa, the concept music video for the original song conveys stories of winning through real life testimonies of members of The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte.  The video can be viewed here:

.  The video recently won a 2015 Gospel Image Award for Best Video of The Year and the 2016 Carolina Music Video Award for Best Gospel Video..  In addition, the music video and song were nominated for a 2015 Prayze Factor People’s Choice Award, four 2015 Rhythm of Gospel Awards, four 2015 Independent Gospel Radio Alliance Awards, a 2015 Independent Artists Christian Music Award, a 2015 Gospel Blockbuster Award, a 2015 Texas Gospel Music Academy Award, a 2015 Chosen Voice Music Award and a 2015 Queen City Music Award.

The vocally-blessed ensemble is thrilled about the accolades, but their goal is simply ministry.  It’s one of the reasons Dalton named the group “Leviticus”.  He says, “I believe your destiny is tied to your name.  So I was committed to choosing a name that reflected the purpose of the group and was rooted in scripture.  I was led to name the group after the book of Leviticus because that’s the first book where we are introduced to the Levites, those people that God called to maintain the temple.  We consider ourselves modern day Levites,” shares Dalton.
Their mission is to present “Vertical Music” to the world, or music that focuses on God and is sung directly to God.  “Vertical Music” will be on full display on the group’s sophomore release, As One: Release The Sound.  Scheduled to drop on July 8, 2016, the project is a double CD with one CD presenting worship and another CD providing praise.  The 20+ song project showcases songs penned by Dalton and delivered by the dynamic ensemble, The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte, seven singers hailing from the Charlotte area.
Steve Dalton received the vision for the group during a rehearsal of a conference choir.  A lover of Gospel music his entire life, he learned to play the saxophone, flute, keyboard and drums before the age of 11.  At 19, he became the minister of music at his home church.  While growing up, his father was absent and he found himself lost in music. But the emptiness wasn’t filled, not until he attended a “Spiritual Encounter Face-to-Face Weekend”. God healed the brokenness of Steve’s heart and inspired him to help other men in the same situation. Ministering to the hurting is of primary importance to Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotte. Dalton says, “Experience the singing, the sound and our hearts to worship Him. It’s not a show but a true worship experience”. Connect with Steve Dalton & The Leviticus Singers of Charlotteon Facebook and Twitter (@LSOCharlotte).
