Theresa Pinkney, Featured Vocalist For “The Reach Project” Recording In Atlanta

Theresa Pinkney has been getting wonderful responses from her debut gospel project entitled Me Against The World.  She is a consistent chart-topper on and the listeners of Rejoice America Radio have been giving the psalmist great reviews as well.  Now the psalmist is traveling to the Peach State to participate in a ground-breaking recording, The Reach Project.

The concept is a global independent Christian artists movement like none other.  The goal is one voice, one song, one mission, and one heart.  The live recording takes place in Atlanta on Saturday, September 24, 2011.  The focus is musical unity in the body of Christ which will be evidenced by the “Reach” song.  Many artists have been tapped to perform on the “We Are The World” type tune.  The song’s proceeds will raise money for the global relief fund.

In addition to her participation on The Reach Project, Pinkney has also interviewed with Gospel Today Magazine and will be featured in an upcoming segment highlighting independent artists.  She will also be the special guest on Atlanta Live.  The singer will be sharing her vocal talents with the live audience singing songs from her debut release, Me Against The World.  The taping will take place on Monday, September 26th at 7PM at the WATC-TV studios located at 1862 Enterprise Dr. in Norcross, GA.

Flowing easily from pop-oriented tunes to urban-tinged tracks, Theresa’s debut release, Me Against The World, provides a strong dose of inspiration from one song to the next.  Me Against The World is a 15-track project filled with a mixture of urban, R&B, pop and dance styles, yet is fully gospel.  The artist dedicates the project to one of her closest friends and mentors.  Diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, her friend played the song regularly for inspiration until her untimely passing.  Because of the impact she had on Theresa’s life, Theresa is donating a portion of the proceeds of the CD to Relay For Life, part of The American Cancer Society, in her memory.

The former Duke Ellington School of the Arts student and former member of the gospel ensemble, Just Breathe, and current member of Pastor Earl Miller & Purity, brings a sincerity and sweetness to gospel music.  Although she is a new voice in the genre, she carries a captivating soprano, a passion for ministry and a desire for God to touch the world through song.  For more information on Theresa Pinkney, log on to
