DANVILLE NATIVE BRYAN WILSON IS ON THE RADIO

Noted Gospel Singer Has Hosted “Bapolstogic Radio Show” Since June Program Airs Sundays at 10 a.m. CST On WBCP 1580 AM

Gospel star Bryan Wilson is back home again in a sense. The Danville native is now hosting “The Bapolstogic Radio Show” Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. CST on WBCP 1580 AM in Champaign, IL. The show features both old school and new school gospel music, as well as, interviews with celebrities such as David & Tamela Mann from the TBS sitcom, “Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns.” The program that began airing in June 2010, reaches the Champaign-Danville area and can also be heard online at www.wbcp1580.com

The name for the show is the crux of Wilson’s 501C3 Bapolstogic evangelistic ministry. “My grandmother was a seventh day holiness keeper,” Wilson recalls of Clair Bell Davis who raised her children and their children in Danville. “On Sunday, we went to the Baptist church in the morning, sometimes we went to the Apostolic church and then the COGIC church at night, so I had all of those experiences. All of those elements make me who I am so when I was 12 years old, I started calling myself Bapolstogic. In my ministry I bring all of those teachings and music styles to what I do so I named the ministry Bapolstogic Inc.”

Wilson, who is best known for his spine-tingling rendition of “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” with the Mississippi Children’s Choir in 1994 when he was twelve years old, is currently planning a two-day revival in the Danville-Champaign area in November 2010.

For the last year, Wilson’s been visible as one of the featured artists on Time Life Music’s $2 million TV commercial campaign for the best-selling CD, “Shoutin’ Down The Aisles,” that features Wilson’s tune, “If You’re Talking About Jesus.” His current radio single, “Everybody Clap Your Hands,” is currently #38 on the Nielsen BDS Top 100 Gospel Songs playlist. The song is available on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic, Napster, and Shockhound as a digital download. Visit www.bryanwilson.com for the latest happenings in Bryan Wilson’s career.
