Lisa Knowles & The Brown Singers Bringing A New Look To Quartet

In the late 1970’s, Mrs. Willie Mae Richmond was given the vision to organize and manage one of the hottest female quartet groups in gospel – The Brown Singers. They were formed with the mission to minister healing, peace, and comfort to the broken. This legendary group has always been at the front line of the female quartet market, delivering an unwavering source of traditional and now contemporary gospel music.

Now, Lisa Knows & The Brown Singers continue to carry on this legacy by garnering three Stellar Award nominations for their Experience The Evolution release, a string of radio hits -“Work On Me”, “I Need You Lord Jesus”, “Zion”, and “I Got Jesus” and remain reigning as Queens of Quartet!

For over 30 years The Brown Singers’ tradition of powerful singers has been heard throughout the world.  The new generation of Brown Singers vocally execute with the same strength, flare and soulful sound as the women before them, but have added a contemporary flavor of musicality and style.  They will deliver this new sound with the same anointing on a new release in 2012.  With the same work ethic and drive the quartet genre is known for, the ladies remain on the road with an extensive tour schedule while recording the new project with no intentions of slowing down!
