Christians who disprove of Obama supporting gay marriage were quick to quote Leviticus 18:22-23 in the Bible which states, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.” However, Obama believes that his support of gay marriage doesn’t compromise his Christianity or religious beliefs.
He tells ABC News’ Robin Roberts:
“We’re (Barack & Michelle) both practicing Christians. And obviously this position may be considered to put us at odds with the views of others. But you know, when we think about our faith, the thing, you know, at root that we think about is not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it’s also the golden rule, you know? Treat others the way you’d want to be treated. And I think that’s what we try to impart to our kids. That’s what motivates me as president. I figure the more consistent I can be in being true to those percepts, the better I’ll be as a dad and a husband, and hopefully the better I’ll be as a president.”

I work with people who say they are vegetarians and they eat fish, prawns, chicken, etc. I have never seen a fish growing on a plant. Does simply declaring yourself a vegetarian make you one? A person can believe whatever they want. That is our privilege here in America, but please don’t attribute your beliefs to Christ. The Bible is NOT sending mixed messages! If you don’t like the Bible’s message, that is okay; but please stop saying that the Bible is what confused you. Be honest. The Bible states in plain language that God does NOT approve of, bless, or even turn a blind eye to homosexuality. The scriptures that condemn it are widely known. Please show me one scripture in the Bible that supports homosexuality, or any other sin. The government can make same-sex legal, but it can never make it right.
