Christian Artist Marti Dorner Featured In A Commemoration Concert For The 10th Anniversary Of 9/11

Like all Americans, Marti Dorner was deeply moved by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.  It’s with reverence for those who lost their lives and respect for those who sacrificed to save others that talented Christian vocalist, Marti Dorner remembers the 10th anniversary of that life-changing day with a concert.  Dorner, who has been blessed to sing with some of the genre’s most popular artists including Larnelle Harris, Ron Kenoly, Thurlow Spurr, Babbie Mason, Sandi Patty, Wess Morgan, and The Gaither Vocal Band, will be featured in United 2011, an event of remembrance to be held at International Community Church of God (123 Byte Drive, Frederick, MD 21702 – 301.663.5444) on Sunday, September 11th at 6:00PM.  The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken.
A supreme vocalist, who can easily glide from Contemporary Christian music and Contemporary Gospel, recently released her long-awaited self-titled debut.  The 11-track CD is not just an impressive collage of musical experiences, but each and every song is breathed out of tragedies and triumphs.  “Even Now”, the CD’s lead single, is a reminder of the fact that God is always present and the breathtakingly beautiful track, “In His Hands” lets us know that God is always in complete control.
A native of the Bahamas, Marti started in music singing at church.  Growing up with evangelistic parents and eight siblings, her home was always filled with music.  After moving to Orlando, Marti developed her artistry by singing in multiple platforms such as churches, arenas, radio stations, and making television appearances.  She currently resides with her husband of 15 years and 2 children within the Maryland area.
United 2011 will be held at International Community Church of God (ICC), a church which serves the Frederick, Maryland community and is “dedicated to equipping God’s people for life-changing ministry that impacts the lives of individuals, families, communities and the world.”  ICC is led by Bishop and Senior Pastor Jerry Price.  More information about ICC can be found at www.iccog.org.
