Anointed By God Gets Nominated For Two Rhythm Of Gospel Awards

Anointed By God is a group of teens hailing from West Memphis, AR.  The music ministry of A.B.G. was founded by Robert Jones (keys, 17) and Tiana Haynes (vocals, 16) in June of 2010.   With a vision of utilizing the talents of area youngsters their age, the two added Calvin Wordlaw, II (Gospel Rapper and Trombone player, 19); Tyler Jones (Drummer, 17); Courtney Wordlaw (Bass Player, 18); Shakeeta Sparks – 27, Cody Wordlaw – 13, Raelyn Patterson – 13, Danielle Atkins – 16, and Lyndsay Patterson – 17 –  (vocalists); and Tyries Rolfe (Music Director, 22).

 

Over the last year the young singers and instrumentalists have been touring and opening for gospel artists like Jonathan Nelson, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis and Kierra Sheard, performing on showcases and ministry dates along side of Zie’l, Myron Butler and Martha Munizzi.  A.B.G. are working on their debut project and have released their first single “Tribute To You” to gospel radio and on iTunes which landed on the international iTunes Belgium Top 40 Christian singles chart.  This talented and energetic group of performers have the gospel industry and gospel music fans taking notice of their unique combination of vocal execution and band arrangements.

 

Anointed by God has now been nominated for two Rhythm of Gospel Awards and will be completing their debut release this summer.
