The Showers Family Group cannot be stopped. With a nationally released album on its family owned A&P Records, The Showers is a group walking valiantly in their calling to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ while promoting family togetherness and the benefits of being a family unit that literally prays together.
The Showers invigorate an atmosphere of worship everywhere they sing, and recently made appearances at Donnie McClurkin’s Perfecting Faith Church in Long Island and Bishop Hezekiah Walker’s Azusa Conference in Charlotte. In both instances, after singing their current singled “Better,” pastors invoked the congregation to continuing singing that song to the Lord and admonished all to heed the words of wanting to be all that we can be in Christ.
“Better”, currently #15 on Gospel Airplay charts, was recently added to several Radio One Stations, including Raleigh, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Detroit, Michigan and Cleveland, Ohio. It also is currently in rotation at The Nightly Spirit with Willie Moore, Jr.; Rejoice Musical Soulfood, and Sheridan Gospel Network “The Light.” Written and produced by Deon Kipping, “Better” featuring Canton Jones is a heartfelt cry to the Lord to which any and every listener can relate.
Featuring production by Grammy and Stellar award winners Deon Kipping, Myron Butler, Bruce Robinson, Jr. and many others, the brilliantly crafted album showcases The Showers’ flawless, soulful harmonies and their deep ability to transform a lyric into a heart-melting crescendo. The Showers have created a body of music that speaks to every type of believer in Christ. They pride themselves in also creating music that is able to touch the un-churched and compel those who are not deemed “believers” to want to know more about the Christian faith. With a style that is soulful and contemporary, while remaining steeped in the traditional Gospel sound, The Showers are poised to reach and minister to a myriad of people.
The group will continue to make appearances around the country this summer. On June 9 they had the honor of singing The National Anthem before the House Committee at the Louisiana State Capitol and, on June 21s,t will appear at the CoreDJs Gospel Brunch in Atlanta.
