The Sisters in Faith Holy Bible is a sister-to-sister guide through the Word of God. It demonstrates how His Word is active and will impact every interaction of life in a practical way for the African-American woman. The Sisters in Faith Holy Bible seeks to highlight where the Bible speaks in to five major areas of life: God, Family, Others, Self, and Career. Contributors include first lady Jamell Meeks, recording artist Joann Rosario Condrey, novelists Kim Cash Tate, Vanessa Davis Griggs, and other scholars and artists. Executive editors Michele Clark Jenkins and Stephanie Perry Moore are the co-founders of Sisters in Faith, an entity established to create meaningful products that encourage and empower African-American women with God’s truth, and address the needs and concerns of life that are particularly challenging to the women in this culture.
“African-American women have long suffered and long loved the Lord in such a way that being Christian and being African-American is synonymous,” say Jenkins and Moore. “But very little Christian product reveals her voice through the body of Christ and almost none has been created to speak directly to her in a way that relates to her life and her struggle. This beautiful Bible, along with the devotionals and other Sisters in Faith books, will be guideposts on a journey for all of us to awaken a new and dynamic spirit.”
