Houston-based gospel music producer Kerry Fitzgerald Douglas has been charged with four counts of sexual assault, according to our source at FOX26Houston.com. Court documents reveal that DNA evidence has connected the 59-year-old producer to several sexual assault cases spanning from 2007 to 2022.
2007 Incident
The earliest charge dates back to 2007, when a woman who had a prior relationship with Douglas accused him of sexually assaulting her. According to court documents, the woman reported that Douglas followed her home one night and confronted her about her new boyfriend. Feeling uneasy, she locked herself in the bathroom and called 911. Although Douglas left, she later discovered that her keys were missing. That night, while she was asleep, Douglas allegedly entered her home, covered her mouth, and assaulted her. A rape kit completed at the hospital later matched Douglas’s DNA to multiple other cases.
2014 Incident
In 2014, a Dallas woman accused Douglas of sexually assaulting her after they spent an evening together. As reported by FOX26Houston.com, the woman recalled having several drinks with Douglas but had no memory of what happened after leaving the restaurant. She awoke in her hotel room, drowsy and sore, and found Douglas in the room without a shirt. The woman later told police she felt as if she had taken a sleeping pill. 2016 Incident
Another accusation surfaced in 2016, involving an incident in a parking lot near Onyx Strip Club. According to our source, the woman, who met Douglas through a mutual friend, was persuaded by him to leave the club. Once in a nearby parking lot, Douglas allegedly exposed himself and assaulted her. The woman fought back, escaped, and returned to the club to inform her friend. A sexual assault kit was performed at the hospital, and Douglas’s DNA was identified as a match.
2022 Incident
The most recent charge against Douglas dates back to 2022, when a woman accused him of assaulting her after meeting at a bar in the Galleria area. As reported by FOX26Houston.com, the woman felt odd after accepting a drink from Douglas and suspected that her drink had been spiked. Douglas offered to drive her to her car but instead took her to a hotel. The woman later called her ex-boyfriend and reported the assault. The ex-boyfriend confirmed to police that she mentioned being raped by a man named Kerry Douglas during their conversation.
