On Sunday, September 7, 2014 Jericho City of Praise (JCOP) will officially install Dr. Jasmin “Jazz” Sculark as the new pastor to lead the ministry of one of the largest churches in the country. This event will mark history; Dr. Jazz will serve as one of the youngest women to lead a mega church in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
Dr. Jasmin Sculark, nationally and internationally known as Pastor, Teacher, Author, Evangelist and better known in the Christian community as “Dr. Jazz, The Daughter of Thunder,” was named Pastor-Select at JCOP in Landover, Maryland in March 2014. Since then nearly 500 people have joined the church as members under her leadership.
“I am going to build on the legacy of Apostle Betty Peebles,” Dr. Jasmin “Jazz” Sculark said in a statement. “I am not coming to lay a foundation; I am coming to build upon a foundation that has already been laid. I am excited about what God will do with Jericho City of Praise and the people in the D.C. Metropolitan area.”
“We are excited to have Dr. Jazz as our Pastor. Her ability to connect with us at every level and the anointed teaching she brings to us not only on Sunday but by her presence daily is refreshing and real. We love our Pastor!” stated the Board the Trustees.

It’s beyond me why Dr.
Jazz would put herself in the middle of this mess which has been going on for 4
years. All the publicity and hype and ignoring the law suits and ungodly behavior
of her employers. It’s a hot mess. Nobody is fooled by this. She is making a spectacle of herself. Image her embarrassment when the City of
Praise returns and she has to leave. She
has shined the spot light on herself and her reputation has taken a hit. It’s a shame because she is talented but
obviously lacking character and good judgment.
