RCA Inspiration celebrated two wins at the 52nd Annual GMA Dove Awards, with Dove Awards for album releases by chart-toppers Marvin Sapp and Koryn Hawthorne. Marvin Sapp won Traditional Gospel Album of the Year, for his hit thirteenth album Chosen Vessel (Verity Records). Koryn Hawthorne won Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year, for her hit sophomore album I Am.
With this year’s show theme of “Stronger Together,” Koryn Hawthorne also performed on the show, while chart-toppers Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration) and Kelontae Gavin (Marquis Boone/RCA Inspiration) delivered two duet performances on the stage. Nominee and previous Dove winner Mali Music performed (with Dove Awards co-host Jonathan McReynolds) and presented an award. Nominee Kelontae Gavin performed (with Dante Bowe) and presented an award. Chart-topping nominee DOE (Life Room Label/RCA Inspiration) co-hosted and performed on the 52nd GMA Dove Awards Pre-Telecast, which announced winners in numerous categories during its online stream.

The 52nd Annual GMA Dove Awards were taped at Allen Arena in Nashville, TN, and aired on Friday, October 22nd on TBN. The Gospel Music Association’s (GMA) Dove Awards honor all styles of Christian and Gospel music and entertainment, including Inspirational, Worship, Traditional, Contemporary and Southern Gospel, Bluegrass/Country/Roots, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Spanish Language, Film and more.
