The New York Call, an annual outdoor crusade, promoting unity among Christians in the New York tri-state area, will celebrate its 11th year on Saturday, August 23. 2014 at Long Island’s Nikon at Jones Beach Theater at Jones Beach State Park. 1000 Ocean Parkway in Wantagh. This free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is Free and open to the public.
Founded in 2004 by Pastor Donnie McClurkin, The New York Call is a coalition of Christian pastors, ministries and congregations from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The New York Call seeks to break down barriers to unite believers; promote oneness and harmony through continual fellowship; and reach out to those who are lost and hurting, with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
“For the past decade, The New York Call has been a labor of love and an effort close to my heart,” said McClurkin, senior pastor of Perfecting Faith Church, a congregation of more than 3,000 members in Freeport, Long Island. “There should be no division within the Church. We are ONE! That’s what this is all about – the Church coming together, united in our love for God, our love for one another and our love for those searching for a better way.” Thanks to cooperating efforts, over 7,000 people attended the 10th annual celebration held at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, last August.
In the event’s Pavilion Area, the day will kick off at 11 a.m., with the best in gospel music at the Pavilion stage, exhibitors, food sampling, a large outdoor health Pavilion, with free testing, Dental Screenings, a kids pavilion with face painting, giveaways, and so much more! ALL FREE! This 11th annual celebration will then conclude with the music and ministry of The New York Call’s own Pastor Donnie McClurkin, as well as many others on the main stage from 3pm until 6pm! ALL FREE!!!!!
