Tonight, join Stellar Award Winner and Sunday Best Winner, Y’Anna Crawley as she presents an evening of Gospel and Soul at the historical Blues Alley. Despite its name, Blues Alley is a cozy little joint that’s all about Jazz, R&B, and Soul Music. Founded in 1965, Blues Alley is the nation’s oldest continuing jazz supper club, having showcased internationally renowned concert hall artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson and more.The venue’s summer concert series is slated to host Natalie Cole, Jean Carne, Pieces of a Dream, Jonathan Butler & Angela Winbush.
The single room venue, located in an 18th-century brick carriage house, is comprised of little more than a few dozen candlelit tables, and a performance stage. Preppy professionals, creative college kids and loads of tourists dine on themed dishes like Sarah Vaughan’s Filet Mignon and Dizzy Gillespie’s Shrimp Creole.
