Veteran gospel artist Bryan Andrew Wilson, best known for songs like “His Eye is on the Sparrow” and “If You’re Talking About Jesus,” heads to Marshall, TX this Friday, July 26th to preach at the Childress Deliverance Temple Ministries’ Holy Convocation but the real news is that he’s also headed to the mid west for a big revival. The singer, who is also an evangelist, kicks off The Gathering – a spiritual revival supported by his Bapolstogic Movement 501C3 ministry. It’s open to all but aimed at the youth – in his hometown of Danville, IL on August 15th and 16th @ 7 p.m. each night at The David S. Palmer Arena, 100 W. Main Street, Danville, IL 61832. Admission is free.
“A couple of years ago I was at a conference in Norfolk, VA and sang right before Dr. Cindy Trimm spoke,” Wilson says. “She prophesied about someone going home to do a work and I strongly felt that word was just for me because that idea was already on my heart. Where I come from, a lot of people and businesses have left and a lot of the people who remain are hopeless and stuck in a mental rut in terms of what they can accomplish in life. I ’m going back to use the word of God to inspire and ignite them to reach for their destiny. This word will be as much for me as for them. We all need to encourage each other in this walk over and over again.”
In terms of fulfilling his own destiny and making the transition from child star to adult singer, it’s been a rough ride for Wilson but he’s endured many ups and downs over the last decade. He’s finishing a new CD for Kerry Douglas’ Worldwide Music label and the set features production by Amos Saint-Jean, Ted Winn & Justin Gilbert (from Justin Timberlake’s band), Major3rd Productions and Wilson even produced one song himself. While his next radio single is being mixed for a fall release, Wilson is currently promoting “It Will Happen For Me,” an inspirational song (produced in Brooklyn, NY by multi-instrumentalist Christian Medice) exclusively featured on the “Kerry Douglas Presents Gospel Mix VI” CD that releases August 20th.
Wilson’s latest CD “Limited Edition” is available on iTunes, Amazon.com and Rhapsody. Follow him on Facebook: bryanwilsonsinger, Instagram: bryanandrewilson or Twitter: IAmBryanWilson.
