uGospel and Khalif Townes, CEO/Founder of Urban Roundup Group, LLC, are proud to announce the launch of uGospel Radio. The online radio station is now broadcasting live from Townes’ award-winning website, uGospel.com. Music played on uGospel Radio varies from Traditional to Contemporary Gospel Music, and features both major and independent artists. In the future, the radio station will also provide sermons, talk shows, live interviews and more interactive programs for listeners. uGospel Radio broadcasts 24-hours a day, wherever an internet connection is available.
uGospel Radio generated impressive numbers for its first week statistics. Townes was pleased to learn the following stats thus far: 8,227 total streams launched, 8,500+ total listening hours and an average time of 3.5 hours on the station per listener. The top 10 markets of listeners in ranking order are Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C., Harrisburg, Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Baltimore, Miami, Kansas City, Los Angeles. Also, there are several countries besides the United States with uGospel Radio listeners, including Nigeria, South Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Bahamas, Sweden, Germany and France.

Keeping up with technology, Townes designed and released an uGospel App for Android phone users. The App allows users to listen to uGospel Radio and view articles posted on uGospel.com instantly. The uGospel App will be available for iPhone and Blackberry users in the near future, with the same features as the Android App.
uGospel Radio offers a variety of innovative ways for consumers to advertise on the station. The four categories of advertisement opportunities are audio, graphic, ministry and special projects.
