Angel Taylor and Chanelle Haynes, collectively known as the award-winning Gospel duo Trin-i-tee 5:7, are no longer with Matthew Knowles’ Music World Gospel. Last week, Music World Gospel announced that the ladies were released from the label. Details of the split are still sketchy, as we don’t know if they requested to leave or if it was the label’s idea.
However, Matthew Knowles did release a statement in regards to parting ways with Trin-i-tee 5:7. He says, “Angel and Chanelle scored their first Grammy nomination as well as Grammy night worldwide TV performance Grammy Nomination with Music World. Their careers will always be linked to Music World. We will miss them and wish them the best of luck.”
As for the ladies, appreciative of their opportunities while with Music World Gospel, they say, “We thank Music World and Mathew Knowles for everything they have done for us.” The split can be looked at as an end of a chapter or as a new beginning. Either way, we wish nothing but the best for all involved and hope to hear more great music from these talented women.
Trin-i-tee 5:7 makes the second act to part ways with Music World Gospel this year. Back in May, Micah Stampley confirmed leaving the label as well. Although he didn’t give a direct reason why, he did make an official statement.

I pray that we will continue to hear great music from Trin-i-Tee 5:7 in the future.
