Gospel singer/songwriter/producer Tõnya Lewis-Taylor has released the “I’ve Got To Win” video, the title track off of the updated and re-mastered EP, “I’ve Got To Win 2.0”. The video is available to view on YouTube. The title track, “I’ve Got To Win”, is currently being played on radio nationwide.
The video, “I’ve Got To Win”, perfectly complements the emotionally powerful ballad featuring Tõnya’s signature commanding rich vocals. The video chronologies a young lady who was late for her dance audition. As the video continues she seemed distraught and distracted as she constantly messed up on the routine. However, despite her obstacles by the end of the video she found her rhythm and refocused herself on the end goal and she accomplished it. The metaphor Tonya verbalizes in the song when she sings “I’ve got to get my crown although I almost drowned, but I know I’ve got to win….. cause I’m still running and I know I’ve got to win,” is skillfully portrayed within the video and will literally give you chills as Tõnya’s vulnerability, grace and resilience exudes.
In contrast to her other videos, the concept behind that of “I’ve Got To Win” was something extremely different, but showcases the range of scenarios Tonya’s music can be applied to. “We wanted to make sure we executed the video so that it was extremely universal and easy to follow. Especially so that we could showcase God’s reach in all aspects of our lives and although we face challenges he reveals himself in many ways.” Tõnya stated. All of the songs were written as well as co-produced by Tõnya Lewis-Taylor and directed by the EARS Music Group.
