‘The Preachers’ To Get Test On Fox Stations!

Preachers_FoxtvFox Television Stations and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution (WBDTD) will debut a three-week daily preview of The Preachers, a panel talk show from Telepictures Productions that features four “dynamic and outspoken preachers who are known for their electrifying and unique takes on pop culture, news events and spirituality … [offering] uplifting inspiration and actionable motivation,” according to WBDTD.

The series will premiere July 11 on Fox O&Os in WNYW New York and KTTV Los Angeles, with additional stations and markets to be announced in the future. The announcement was made jointly today by Frank Cicha, SVP of programming, Fox Television Stations, and Ken Werner, president, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

The Preachers will be executive produced by Emmy-winner Bill Geddie, marking the return to daytime TV for the co-creator and longtime executive producer of The View for 17 seasons. Jeff Gaspin and Andrew Glassman will also serve as executive producers. The show will be produced by Telepictures.

“After The View, I figured I’d never do another panel show, but these preachers knocked me off my feet,” said Geddie. “They’re not just another set of talking heads yakking about the events of the day; they bring real-world experience as pastors and counselors. They have a unique spiritual take on things, and they’re funny as hell … I mean, heck!”
