Veteran Gospel recording artist Millicent Crawford recently released her latest Gospel song, “Do What You Do” to a packed-out venue in Omaha, NE. Inspired by the late Dr. Myles Monroe, “Do What You Do,” was well received by everyone in attendance at the sold-out concert. Minister Millicent Crawford, a psalmist, worshipper and minister of God’s word, has and continues to assist churches in creating, cultivating, and sustaining an atmosphere of worship. Written by Tanya Archie, “Do What You Do” speaks to overcoming tragedies and living a life with purpose.
“The greatest tragedy in life is not death but a life without purpose,” Minister Crawford recites throughout the encouraging new single. The lyrics of the song open with “We are Born with everything within, nothing missing, nothing broken, we just have to begin” speaks new life and hope into the ears and minds of listeners from the start.
The single is only the beginning of what is to come as Minster Crawford is currently working on more new material, slated for release in 2019.
Born into a family of musicians and singers, Minister Millicent Crawford, an Omaha native, began singing at an early age. Her mother, a singer/musician played for various churches in the city and started a family group called “The Crawford Singers.” It was this experience that ignited her passion for music that developed into a desire to understand music’s purpose, which is to glorify the King.
Minister Crawford has shared the stage with various musical artists such as Reba McIntyre, The Williams Brothers, and Michael Bolton. In 2007, Minister Crawford was a guest Psalmist for “Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI)” Leadership Conference with Dr. Myles Munroe, who became very influential in her life and ministry. She has also been featured as a guest soloist for Vanessa Williams, Paul Porter, and Dr. Jessie Duplantis.
