In honor of Veteran’s Day, on Friday, November 8th, the Gospel group Soul tempo spent the day at Natchaug Middle School in Willimantic, CT.
While visiting Natchaug Middle School, Soul tempo honored the veterans who were in attendance and spoke to youth and parents about the importance of Veteran’s Day.
Soul Tempo was truly honored to be invited with over 400 people in attendance, including, the School Superintendent, Mayor, State Troopers and other dignitaries.
One of the exciting moments occurred when, the youth and veterans joined in with Soul Tempo as they sang, “It’s a Small World After All.” The group also sang, Christmas Carols and a few a capella songs, which was a first for many of the youth to hear.
Soul Tempo group member Jeremiah Brunson shared his excitement on sharing the a capella songs with the youth: “We know that 99 percent of the students never heard a cappella singing in there entire life, and we want the students to know that there is many different cultures of music.”
