Roland S. Martin has been at the forefront of media covering the tragic and mysterious death of Sandra Bland, with few outlets able to examine the topic from Martin’s in-depth perspective. Martin recently dedicated his entire show to exploring the case, welcoming Texas State Sen. Rodney Ellis, Bland family attorney Cannon Lambert, and Bland’s sister Sharon Cooper to NewsOne Now to discuss the latest in developments in the investigation.

Bland was found dead in her Waller County Jail cell in Houston, Texas, just days after she was arrested following a routine traffic stop. Bland’s death, which was originally ruled a suicide, raised disturbing questions after family members expressed concern about the circumstances and video footage of the police dash-cam was released.
