Pastor Shirley Williams, founder of Wailing Women Win Ministries, is set to use her God given talent once again by organizing an uplifting, inspirational conference to benefit women of all sizes, shapes, colors and “fabrics”. The Fabric of a Woman, an event produced by Pastor Williams, is set to rebuild the mindset of women who have lost their own identity over time. By comparing a woman to a variety of fabrics including cotton, silk, polyester, wool and spandex, the conference will encourage women of God to invest in the fabric of their own lives.
“Today’s woman tends to over commit her time, energy and resources. She gives in to others often at the expense of her own health and well being. If you neglect to invest in yourself, the fabric of your life will unravel. The conference is to encourage and give wisdom for her to become enlightened and transform her negative thoughts into victorious ones,” says Pastor Williams.
The Fabric of a Woman will be on Saturday, January 14, 2011 at the Quality Inn, 1200 Crescent Blvd., Gloucester City, New Jersey 08030. The conference is from 9:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. EST, continental breakfast and lunch will be served. The conference takes place in the Banquet Hall and tickets to attend are $25.00 at the door. Other guest speakers scheduled to perform at the conference are Pastor Carla Riley, Minister Dawn Gibson, Deaconess Gina Coleman, Prophet Donna Bullock, Pastor Toni Boffo, Minister Rochelle Caldwell, Pastor Ayanna Clark, and Spoke Word Poets Jean-Nicole Jones and Khali Williams.
Reared under the pastorate of Lorraine Drake and later groomed under the tutelage of Pastor Carla Riley, Pastor Williams has served in all capacities of the ministry. In March 1998, she answered the Lord’s call to Spoken Word Ministry. Since then she has become a Christian counselor, an adjutant to visiting preachers, and an intercessor prayer warrior.
By divine directive in 2005, Pastor Williams founded Wailing Women Win Ministries. The ministry was birthed out of the pain experienced when overcoming abusive relationships and drug addiction. Pastor Williams fully understood the need to assist and be of encouragement to other women with a similar testimony.
Pastor Williams’ desire is to be a living testament to the words of Isaiah 61:1: “The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives; and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”
