About Motown Gospel
Motown Gospel was launched on April 1, 2013, when Capitol Christian Music Group and Universal’s East Coast Label Group joined the EMI Gospel label (founded in 1998) with marketing/promotion and A&R consultation from Island Def Jam and Motown.
This innovative joint venture has resulted in a label that is committed to the development of artists who have world-class talent and a passion for using that talent for spreading the Gospel through music. Motown Gospel reaches the Urban Gospel and mainstream audience with traditional and contemporary music.
