Maximum Artist Group, LLC has expanded its artist management team with the hiring of industry veteran Stanley Brown. The announcement was made by Mitchell Solarek, president and founder of the Nashville-based firm. Brown will be based in New York City, giving the firm a full-time presence there.
“I have known and worked with Stanley for more than 15 years,” states Solarek. “He has impeccable credentials and a glowing reputation for getting things done. He brings with him a long and successful resume working with artists across myriad genres.” According to Solarek, it was complementary philosophies and goals, along with Brown’s experience, leadership, and extensive network across Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York that made his addition to the team obvious.
A 25-year industry veteran with experience in all facets of the music business, Brown is an award-winning and multi-platinum-selling composer and producer with an extensive background as a record label executive (including stints at eOne Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment, Island Records, and Motown Records), producer, music director, and talent developer. His creative credits, which range from Gospel to Pop to Urban genres, include multiple Grammy® and Stellar Award winners and resultant unit sales in excess of 20 million. His veritable Who’s Who list of world-renowned artists with whom he’s worked include Shirley Caesar, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, Le’Andria Johnson, The Temptations, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Fred Hammond, T.D. Jakes, Salt-n-Pepa, Keith Sweat, Dru Hill, Charlie Wilson, India Arie, Bell Biv DeVoe, Melonie Fiona, Karen Clark-Sheard, and many more.
With the addition of Brown, the Nashville-based Maximum Artist Group will now have a full-time presence in New York. Solarek adds, “With the amount of activity our clients are already involved with in NYC, it makes sense to bring on Stanley as one of our artist managers. It creates efficiencies and even more effectiveness with our partners who we already work with on a daily basis.”
