Multi Grammy award winning duo Mary Mary celebrates an astonishing 9 Stellar Gospel Music Award nominations for their latest studio album, Go Get It, leading the way with the most amount of nominations. This news comes off the heels of the opening night of their Go Get It tour, which kicked off in Jacksonville, FL. The ladies were present at the 28th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards press conference in Atlanta, GA, where it was announced that they will be joining Grammy Award Winner, Kirk Franklin, as co-hosts of this year’s show at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry House Theater on Saturday, January 19, 2013.
Erica & Tina Campbell are 13 time Stellar Award winners. This year’s 9 nominations include: Group/Duo of the Year, Song of the Year, Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year, Contemporary CD of the Year, Urban Inspirational Single or Performance, Special Event CD of the Year, Producer of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year
The duo’s headlining Go Get It tour runs through November 17 in Hampton, VA (see below for a list of full dates). The opening act for the entire tour is Stellar Award-winning recording artist, Isaac Carree. Additional support acts in select markets are: Grammy Award nominee, VaShawn Mitchell; Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy; Sunday’s Best Finalist, Jessica Reedy and Anita Wilson.
In addition to filming the second season of their reality series MARY MARY, which takes a personal look at their lives as singers, mothers, wives, and siblings, Erica & Tina Campbell both gave birth within the past year. Erica and husband Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary producer) welcomed their third child in February 2012 and Tina and her husband Teddy Campbell (Tonight Show band drummer) welcomed their fifth child this past August. Season 2 of MARY MARY kicks off December 13, 2012 on WETV.
