2016 has been a banner year for Gospel prodigy, Jekalyn Carr. It has just been announced, in The Recording Academy’s highly anticipated annual press conference live from Los Angeles, California, that Carr has received a Grammy nomination – in the category of Best Gospel Performance/Song – for her ground-breaking single, “You’re Bigger.” This is Carr’s first Grammy nomination, and it caps off a remarkable year of firsts for the prophetic powerhouse prodigy.
Her debut live recording, THE LIFE PROJECT, became her first #1 album when it entered the Billboard Gospel Albums chart at the coveted number 1 spot, where it ultimately spent several non-consecutive weeks. Similarly, her single, “You’re Bigger,” became her first #1 single as it ascended to the top of both the Gospel singles airplay and download charts, and has become a proclamation of faith for believers, worldwide.
