It’s been ten years in the making with some of the most high profile Gospel artists and inspirational speakers in the world, and once againTransformation Expo 2017, Richmond’s largest inspirational event of the year made history with one of their best lineups ever! With a crowd hovering around 5,000, this day of Transformation, at times felt like church, with tears of joy flowing, saints dancing in the aisles and endless testimonies of God’s goodness.
Presented by Praise 104.7FM with 100,000 watts of power, Transformation Expo returned to the Greater Richmond Convention Center on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 12noon to 6:00p.m.
This year’s lineup included Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Earnest Pugh, James Fortune, Maggie Ingram’s Legendary Ingramette, Chris Searcy, Taleshia Chandler, G.I. and Latice Crawford.
Willie Moore, Jr., also stopped through the Expo to present a Relationship Session that centered on his new released book, Happily After All.
Making a surprise appearance was Donnie McClurkin. He made a special trip to the Cap City just to tell Richmond hello and to see a few of his friends perform since he was close by in Washington, D.C. As he made his way to the front of the stage, the crowd flocked quickly to meet him and shake his hand. There were some in tears, others were cheering and just about everyone else had their cell phones up taking pictures or videotaping the moment.
This year’s special guest speakers were Phylicia Rashad and this year’s host Sheilah Belle “The Belle” who also shared her powerful testimony of overcoming cancer.
This was a powerful moment when she shared the origin of her journal and displayed the many medications she was taking. One by one she pulled them out of a bag that seemed to have no bottom. Many stood in shock with tears running down their face, and others were in disbelief having had no idea that The Belle was going through all that she was sharing. Tears were flowing from The Belle to the crowd, but when she concluded by letting everyone know that the doctors told her that she had a tremendous response to her treatment and that they were not able to detect anymore cancer in her body, the cheers and praises of joy that went up, sent echoes of praise throughout the concert hallways. It was really a blessed time in the Lord.
With such a powerful line up, featured guests, speakers and sponsors, this was truly a day for everyone! Our prayer is that attendees were touched in some way from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet.
Some of this year’s featured sponsors included McDonalds, WWBT TV-12, Allen & Allen and Centura College.
To God Be the Glory!
