Gospel/Urban trio NU DNA (pronounced New DNA) unites three of the most talented male vocalists in the Midwest. Kelvin Moore, Larry Frye and Marc Frye are the gentlemen of NU DNA. While the three possess uniquely distinctive voices, they unite in tight harmonies and seamlessly trade lead vocals. NU DNA combines inspiring song writing and magnetic stage presence to create a true musical trinity.
Fate brought the three men together at a concert in Michigan. As the artists shared their ideas and songs with each other they soon realized that they possessed the same musical DNA, inspiring their musical direction and the unique name of their group.
When the trio met, Larry and Marc were singing in a group called Choice, performing regionally with such artists as John P. Kee and Outkast. Meanwhile, Kelvin was a member of the group Zion, touring nationally in support of their Intersound Records album. He has performed with such artists as Commissioned, Vickie Winans, Ben Tankard, Yolanda Adams, DC Talk, The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Rance Allen and Donnie McClurkin.
The HELP SOMEONE project is scheduled for release this Summer. This project features 14 songs produced/written by a powerhouse of producers: Marcus “DaHeatMizer” Devine, Chip Dixson, Mike Winans and Kenny Hickson. The group is touring this summer hitting major events and cities with upcoming appearances in Detroit, Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta and Memphis.
This week you will be introduced to Kelvin, Larry and Marc up close and personal! You’ll also get to hear a new track from their HELP SOMEONE project each day! So, get ready for the music and ministry of NU DNA.
