ABOUT GABRIEL POWELL:
Born as a Chester County native in the state of South Carolina, at the age of 5, Gabriel Powell was noticeably musically inclined. At a young age, he possessed great interest in multiple instruments. By the age of 6, he was deemed as the official drummer at True Gospel Church of God In Christ where he played faithfully for five years. He then transitioned from the church drummer to keyboardist. From time to time, Gabriel began to sing as a lead psalmist on the youth choir. As his passion grew for music and song, he continued to nurture his craft. In time, he became a member of the adult choir, where he became one of the prominent praise and worship leaders.?Gabriel has had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of the greatest gospel artist of our times, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Pastor John P. Kee, Dewayne Woods, Beverly Crawford, Latice Crawford, Lejeune Thompson, Tyronn Wilkins and LeDessa Brown to name a few. His major influences of inspiration throughout his ministry are his parents, Elder Willie Powell and Evangelist Curala Powell.
Gabriel strongly believes that his success solely lies in the one and only Jesus Christ. He continues to put Christ first in all aspects of his life. His mission within ministry is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to people of all ethnicity, age and background. He continues to grow musically, vocally and most importantly spiritually. Gabriel stated, “I never want to become comfortable in ministry. I always want something fresh from God to give to the people. The gift is not for me it’s for the people anyway.” As his ministry continues to expand, he continues to thank the Lord, his family and all of his supporters for sharing the experience along with him and not behind him.
Gabriel just recently signed his first major Record Deal with ReceNiah Entertainment in January of 2014. Since then he’s released his highly anticipated debut single, “Show Me The Way”.
