Back in November of 2013, Fred Hammond revealed that his doctor recommended replacement surgery for both of his knees. Well, on Friday Fred announced that after 3.5 hours of surgery, everything went well! We send our prayers to him and his family for a speedy recovery, so that he can get back to making the great music that we all love. Check out the video of him taking baby steps on the road to recovery by clicking here.
Fred Announces Surgery:
So yesterday family as you know I went to have my pre knee replacement surgery consultation. The X-rays showed that my hips were fine but now both knees are totally destroyed. The Dr recommend that I do them both… Hmm. (That’s a lot of pain) But
the thought of being able to be walking regular by August September, to possibly jog again, to stand on stage and minister without pain, to play ball with my son play ball or flag football or even softball, or just walk up and down a flight of steps normally is enough to go for it.
So I’m having them both done at the same time. I will rehab like crazy for 2 months then take it easy as go back to work in the vineyard because I need to get out and bless the people (and pay the mortgage).
Thank you for your likes, well wishes, comments and prayers on yesterday as I got the journey started.Thank you love you family
