Tyscot Music & Entertainment entered an exciting New Year with six 2012 Stellar Award nominations, including The Rance Allen Group who is nominated for Group Duo of the Year, Traditional Group/Duo of the Year, Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year and Quartet of the Year for their “Live Experience II” CD.
Gospel Jazz Artist, Harold Rayford also received a nod for Instrumental Gospel CD of the Year for “I Am the Instrument” CD and Vashawn Mitchell My Songbook “Collection of Hits” CD is nominated for Special Event CD of the Year.
The excitement continues, as Tyscot artists Damita Haddon, Shirley Murdock and The Rance Allen Group gear up for major performances and appearances during the 2012 Stellar Award week in Nashville, TN.
On January 12th, Shirley Murdock’s momentous week will begin at the Urban Soul Café event, Access Granted where she will perform new music from Live: The Journey.
Shirley will be joined by label mate Damita who’ll treat the audience to her brand new single, “I Love You”. Both ladies’ performances will be topped off as another label mate, The Rance Allen Group, receives a special honor from the Urban Soul Café organizers.
The following day, on January 13th, Rance Allen will participate in a special performance honoring Kirk Franklin during the BMI Luncheon at Rocket Town in Nashville.
Later that evening, during the Stellar Awards Pre-Show at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center the multi-talented Damita Haddon will grace the stage as an award presenter. Shirley Murdock will also perform more new music during the event.
On January 14th, Murdock will graciously take the stage as an award presenter during the 2012 Stellar Awards at the Grand Ole Opry along with many other phenomenal gospel artists.
It will definitely be an eventful week in Nashville, for Damita Haddon, Shirley Murdock and The Rance Group, but also a memorable one.
