Clifton wrote this song during a time when he was the least inspired. In his own words he shares how the song was birthed: ‘We all have those moments but we have to choose what gets our attention. Is it the circumstance or the truths that keep us anchored? And these were the words I heard — I believe God’.Clifton’s debut EP I Believe God debuted at #7 on the itunes Christian/Gospel charts and #6 on the Billboard Gospel Album Charts and #32 on the Billboard Christian/Gospel charts. Clifton has also had the privilege of serving as a background vocalist for Kurt Carr & the Kurt Carr singers, Vashawn Mitchell and Bryon Cage.
Clifton is a proud alum of Howard University (Washington, DC) and former musical director of the Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University. He currently serves as one of the Musical Directors at Ebenezer AME Church (Fort Washington, MD) where the Pastors are Rev. Drs. Grainger and JoAnn B
